Its a real needle felted jack o'lantern. It's hollow and the lid comes off. I wouldn't put a candle in it though. This is not a toy. It can withstand gentle handling but may become fuzzy if roughly handled often. If you do want to handle it a lot, the fuzziness can be fixed by lightly felting it back in with a #40 felting needle.
